Recently I was surfing along and happened upon a web-link to a backstage rehearsal of one of my favorite jam bands, “The String Cheese Incident“. There is no requirement to register unless you want to download the clip, and you can enjoy the entire sci backstage at redrocks clip at a good audio and video level. The site is “NotMTV.TV and it currently features three channels.
- Not Mainstream Typical Videos goes behind and inside the Independent music scene. Whether it be a band interview, concert, or sound check, NotMTV introduces you to the different scenes and sounds of the independent music world.
- Culture Captured is a program channel that features and introduces the viewer to the world of cultural arts. We will introduce viewers to various forms of underground theatre, as well as a spectrum of cultural phenomenons. Painters, sculptors, photographers, dancers… if people are doing cool things, then we’ve got it on film, and that’s Culture Captured.
- Investigate This! takes a journalistic approach to situations concerning Not MTV Viewers. Are portable devices really loud enough to the point of hearing loss? Who is that panhandler on the street asking for weed? What are the real legalities when downloading music and movies? Investigate This! goes to the source of a situation, and confronts it. Delivering answers and conclusions to fulfill your curiosity, and put you in the know.Excellent stuff, park it there for a few.
